Allow us to open till 11.30 pm: Hoteliers

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Hotel Owners Association has questioned City Police’s decision to shut hotels at 10.30 pm. Association President C. Narayanagowda has written to City Police Chief Ramesh Banoth, urging him to allow hotels to open till 11.30 pm, as in earlier system.

Narayanagowda highlighted that thousands of tourists visit Mysuru and stay overnight. Closing hotels at 10.30 pm deprives tourists of access to food. Bars and restaurants are open until 11.30 pm, raising the question of why hotels, serving food, should be closed early. In Bengaluru, hotels are permitted to remain open until 1 am.

The Association has not demanded permission to stay open until 1 am but must be allowed to operate until 11.30 pm.
