Amateur Theatre Fest at Rangayana on Sundays from today

Mysuru: CGK Amateur Theatre Festival organised by Rangayana will be held from today till June 25 on every Sundays at Bhoomigeeta auditorium in Rangayana premises.

The festival will be inaugurated by senior theatrist Srimathi Hariprasad this evening at 6 pm. Havyasi Rangakarmigala Vedike President H.S. Suresh Babu will be the chief guest. Kannada and Culture Director M.S. Archana will preside.

May 21 : Mudrarakshasa; Author: Vishakadatta; Translation to Kannada: Dr. Siddalingapattana Shetty; Director: Viddu Ucchil; Troupe: Sumanasa, Kodavoor.

May 28 : Prajaraja; Author: Dr. Sujata Akki; Director: Dinesh Chammalige; Troupe: Prajna Trust, Mysuru.

June 4 : Obbalu based on Dario Fo and Franca Rame authored ‘A Woman Alone’; Director: D. Prasannakumar; Troupe: Channel Theatre, Pandavapura.

June 11 : Ramabai Ambedkar based on Dr. H.T. Pothe’s novel ‘Ramayi’; Director: Hipparagi Siddarama; Troupe: Ganakaranga, Dharwad.

June 18 : Chithra; Original Script: Rabindranath Tagore; Translation: Sudha Adukala; Director: Dr. Sripada Bhat; Troupe: Nritya Nikethana, Udupi.

June 25 : Bahumukhi; Author: Vivek Shanbhag; Director: Megha Sameera; Troupe: Natana, Mysuru.
