Mysuru: The trailer of the upcoming Kannada movie ‘America America-2’ was released by actor ‘Daali’ Dhananjaya at an event held at the KSOU Convocation Hall in Muktagangothri here yesterday.
Speaking the occasion, Dhananjaya extended his best wishes to the team and also spoke about the contribution of director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar to the Kannada Film Industry.
Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, who spoke on the occasion, said that he was waiting for the right time to come out with second edition of ‘America America.’
“I have directed the movie as a new comer. I am confident that Kannadigas will extend their support for our efforts,” he added.
The film team also felicitated senior artiste H.R. Leelavathi, senior litterateur K.C. Shivappa and producer Y.N. Shankaregowda on the occasion.
It may be recalled that the 1997 Kannada cult classic ‘America America,’ starring Ramesh Aravind, Akshay Anand and Hema Panchamukhi, was also directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekar.
While ‘America America- 2,’ starring Nirup Bhandari and Shanvi Srivatsa and Pruthvi Ambaar, is not a direct sequel, it is an emotional story about love, relationships and second chances.
Actors Mandya Ramesh, Rangayana Raghu, singer Sangeetha Katti and others were present.
