Mysuru: In a weird behaviour, an angry lover allegedly climbed a tree in city yesterday and threatened his lady love that he would commit suicide.
The person is question was Vinay, 27 from Kalaburagi district. He was said to have arrived in city by train along with his sweetheart. As they came near Dasappa Circle, an alleged tiff between them escalated into a heated argument. The visibly angered Vinay reportedly climbed a tree in front of Vartha Bhavan close to JK Grounds and threatened to end his life.
The unusual incident obviously made passers-by to gather, who informed Devaraja Police. The Garuda staff and Devaraja Police rushed to the spot and managed to convince Vinay and got him down from the tree.
The lovers were taken to the Police Station. Their respective parents were contacted on phone and were later released after completing the basic formalities.
