The following persons have adopted the animals of Mysuru Zoo under ‘Adoption of Animals’ scheme by paying the adoption fee: A.G. Ananya Mandya – Indian cobra (Rs.2,000); N. Geetha Kumari, Mandya – Indian cobra (Rs.2,000); C.R. Sudha – Rainbow Lorikeet (Rs.2,000); Aditi Mallesh – Peacock (Rs.3,500); Tushar Nayan Karkare Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur – Red Avadavit (Rs.1,000); Dr. Irfan Lepakshi – (Rs.3,500); Rathnamma – Love Bird (Rs.1,000), according to a press release from the Executive Director, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens.
