Mysuru: Mysuru Zoo has organised an “Animal Adoption Week” programme along with the inauguration of “Botany and Zoological Club” on Nov.12 at 4 pm at Vanyaranga (Amphitheatre) in Zoo premises, as part of activities taken up on its 125th year celebrations.

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will inaugurate the programme and interact with animal adopters. The programme will be presided by Mallige Veeresh, Chairperson, Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK).

The nominated Directors of ZAK B.N.Karigowda, K.Tukaram, S.N.Raju, Amjad Khan, Latha Jagadish and Dr.T. Shivandappa, CSIR Emeritus Scientist, Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Mysuru, B.P. Ravi,  Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Member-Secretary, ZAK, will be present during the inauguration.
