Anniversary of Kalasparsha Arts School

Danseuse Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, who was felicitated during the anniversary celebrations of Kalasparsha Performing Arts School in city on Sunday, is seen with art patrons Dr. M. Mysuru: City’s well-known Industrialist M. Jagannath Shenoy has said that talent is inherent in every child and it is the responsibility of the parents to unearth it.

He was speaking at the first anniversary celebrations of Kalasparsha Performing Arts School at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here on Sunday.

Highlighting the role of parents in nurturing talent in their Wards, Shenoy said that parents should not loose any opportunity for promoting talent.

Art patron K.V. Murthy, in his address, said that Sparsha Shenoy, the founder Kalasparsha Performing Arts School, has started the school at an young age and it was really encouraging. Underlining the role of Gurus in moulding talent among their students, he wished Sparsha more success in her endeavour of promoting Performing Arts.

Sparsha Shenoy’s grandfather Art Patron M. Vinod Rao, in his address, said that 40 children were trained in the first year and this was a notable achievement. He wished that the School achieve more laurels in the future.

Earlier, renowned Danseuse Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, who spoke after inaugurating the programme, said that it was a matter of joy and pride that her disciple Sparsha Shenoy is teaching Performing Arts to children by setting up the School.

Recalling  Sparsha’s performance at a dance concert in Australia, Dr. Vasundhara said that Sparsha’s talent was widely applauded and appreciated.

Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy was felicitated. Senior Journalist Rajashekar Koti, Sparsha Shenoy, Spoorthi Shenoy, Dr. U.G. Shenoy and others were present.

Sparsha Shenoy and her students gave a Bharatanatyam performance on the occasion. They were accompanied by Sriharsha (vocal) and Rajesh and Hanumantharaju (flute).
