Mysuru: The 12th Anniversary of Laya Vidya Pratishtana, Mysuru, will be celebrated at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram on Jan.5 and 6.
Over 100 students of the Pratishtana will present music, dance and drama on both days.
Jan.5: Industrialist and art patron Kala Seva Ratna K.V. Murthy will inaugurate the programme at 5 pm. Sarada Vilas Institutions President B.S. Parthasarathy and Vijaya Vittala PU College Principal H. Satyaprasad will be the chief guests.
Dr. H.K. Ramanath (Theatre), Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar (Music) and Vidu. Dr. Jyothi Shankar (Gamaka) will be felicitated on the occasion.
Jan.6: Valedictory will be held at 5 pm. Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director H. Chennappa and District Co-op. Union President H.V. Rajeev will be the chief guests. District in-Charge Minister G.T. Devegowda will preside. Akashavani Mysuru Centre Head Sunil Bhatiya will be the special invitee.
Chamarajanagar Vishwanath (Sugama Sangeetha), Vidu. T.S. Lakshmi Kumar (Bharatanatyam), R. Vasudev Bhat (Art Patron) and Vid. G. Parthasarathy (Tabla artiste) will be felicitated during the valedictory.
