Annual Assembly of Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious from tomorrow

Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bengaluru, to inaugurate the event in city

Mysuru: The Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious (KRCR) is hosting their 23rd Annual Assembly from August 3 to 5 at Prabodhana, H.D. Kote Road, Mysuru.

Fourteen Bishops of different Dioceses of Karnataka, 110 Major Superiors of various Religious Congregations and 20 office-bearers of the CRI Units of Karnataka will attend the  assembly.

Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bengaluru, will inaugurate the event at 10.30 am tomorrow.

The theme of this assembly, “Religious Leadership: Innovative Incarnational Intervention,”  will be developed by different expertise and there will be a discussion on the session and the implementation of the same in the coming year. Together with that they will also have the reporting of the various CRI (Conference Religious India) Units’ activities and the evaluation.

This gathering, held twice every year at different places, is meeting this year in Mysuru at Prabodhana. It is an opportunity for these leaders, members of the KRCR, to meet and share about daily challenges in their Ministries.

At the beginning of the General Assembly, the members will elect a new Administrative Council and indicate priorities for the coming year.

The Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious (KRCR) is an association that brings together the leaders of Catholic Congregations of women and men Religious in Karnataka. The KRCR’s mission is to encourage its members to live fully their vocation in following Christ and to support them in their prophetic witness to justice and peace in a present context.
