Mysuru: The 18th annual get-together of Ramakrishnanagar Kodava Welfare Association, I-Block and its adjoining areas was held at The Roost Hotel recently.

Nayakanda Mandanna, President of the Association presided. Kotrangada Shreehan Subbaiah and Kotrangada Manan Mandanna rendered the invocation.Kattera Nanaiah welcomed and briefed about the day’s events.

Students belonging to the Association were awarded with cash prize for scoring highest marks in SSLC, PUC, UG and BE exams to motivate them.

Ammatanda Dr. Greeshma, daughter of Ammatanda late Aiyanna and Gangamma, was felicitated on receiving Ph.D. degree from Mangalore University in Bioscience. Dr. Kodira Kushalappa, Advisor of the Association, awarded her with a cash prize of Rs.5000. Maletira Ganapathy, Secretary, presented the annual report of the Association. Financial report of the year 2017-18 was presented by  Kelappanda Vinod.

Various sports events were held for veterans, men, women and children. Events were conducted by Kumbera Ganesh, Bachamada Vasanth, Choundira Belliappa (for men) while Kodandera Pushpa Machaiah, Mookalamada Shanthi, Kotrangada Shruthi Ashwath were in charge of the games for women.

The entire programme was compered by Kotrangada Shruthi Ashwath. Maletira Ganapathy proposed a vote of thanks.
