Annual Sports Day held at St. Joseph’s FGC

Mysuru: Annual Sports Meet was held at St. Joseph’s First Grade College at Jayalakshmipuram in city recently. 

The Sports Meet was inaugurated by International Kho Kho player B. Charithra, who shared her inspiring journey from Mysuru to the international stage.

In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. Edward William Sal-danha, Secretary, MDES, highlighted the significance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being alongside academic excellence.

Sporting competitions, including Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Hockey, Basketball, Throwball, Volleyball, Cricket and Kabaddi were held on the occasion. The College also felicitated 23 students who had represented the college at State, National and international level events.

MDES Treasurer Rev. Fr. A. Naveen Kumar, MDES CEO (Training and Development) Seby Mavely, Principal H.N. Chandrashekara, Vice-Principal  R. Shilpa, Physical Education Director S. Venkatesh and others were present on the occasion.
