Proceeds will be donated to flood relief
Mysuru: Janamana Samskruthika Samsthe will stage the play ‘Antigone’ (Egypt-based), directed by K.R. Sumathi, on Aug.23 and 24 at 6.30 pm at Mini Theatre in Kalamandira here. Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakatara Bhavan here yesterday, former Rangayana Director H. Janardhan said that the shows with tickets priced at Rs.50 would be for charity and the proceeds of the shows together with voluntary contributions of the audience will be sent to the flood victims in Kodagu. He contended that theatre too was lending a helping hand to the flood victims.
The play would be inaugurated on Aug.23 by Theatre Artiste Lakshmi Chandrashekar. Artiste S.M. Sethuram will deliver the valedictory address on Aug.24.
