Anveshane-2023: State-level Talent Hunt on Feb. 4, 5

Mysore/Mysuru: Anveshane-2023 is a State-level Talent Hunt exclusively for 10th std. students in Government High Schools.

The competition is conducted at two levels — a written online round and a 2-day residential camp for selected students.

In the written round, 2,095 students from 27 districts participated in an online exam in science and mathematics. Based on the merit list, 126 students (47 boys and 79 girls) have been selected to participate in the residential camp to be held on Feb. 4 and 5 at SVYM (Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement), Hebbal Ring Road, Mysuru campus.

During the State camp, the students will participate in hands-on activities, a treasure hunt, a coding competition and a written exam. Based on the performance of the students across all the assessments, the top 5 students are selected for a scholarship of Rs. 20,000 which will be deposited as a fixed deposit and will be available for the student at the time of admission for their higher studies.

On Feb. 4, the residential camp will be inaugurated by M. Madan Gopal, IAS (retd), Chairperson of the NEP-2020 Task Force of the Government of Karnataka. Dr. Nakul Parashar, Director of Vigyan Prasar, Government of India, will be the chief guest at the valedictory of the camp and felicitate the prize winners.

During the 2-day camp, students will also have an opportunity to interact with Dr. A. S.  Kiran Kumar, former Chairman of ISRO, Dr. T. V. Venkateswaran, Chief Scientist of Vigyan Prasar and Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Founder of SVYM. A science drama titled “Leelavathi” will also be staged by Kalasuruchi team.
