Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, had organised the Apollo Cardiovascular Symposium – ACVS 2017 recently at the Vijnana Bhavan in Manasagangothri, for Physicians, Practitioners, Government Medical Officers, ESI and Railway medical staff.
This was a first-of-its-kind symposium which was attended by around 200 doctors from in and around Mysuru, who interacted with specialists in the field.
The symposium was inaugurated by Dr. A. Subramanyeshwara Rao, Police Commissioner, Mysuru City and co-ordinated by Bharateesh Reddy, Vice-President & Unit Head, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Dr. Vinod Apaiah, General Manager- Operations, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, Dr. Anjali Arun, Medical Superintendent and Dr. Arun Srinivas, Chief of Apollo Heart Institutes.
Dr. K.A.Prahalad, Consultant General Physician at Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, was the observer for the Continuing Medical Education (CME) by Karnataka Medical Council (KMC).
The entire faculty of speakers was from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and Bengaluru, Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru, Columbia Asia, Bengaluru and Aster Hospitals, Bengaluru. The topics presented and discussed were extremely relevant for enhancing the delegates’ knowledge and clinical acumen. KMC has awarded a CME credit point for the symposium which will help all the attending delegates in their continuing medical education.
ACVS Committee members Dr. Nagendra Prakash, Dr. H.P. Guruprasad, Dr. B.K. Shivaram, Dr. P. Jayakumar, Dr. Adithya Udupa and Dr. Prakash Rao were also involved in the symposium.
