Apollo Climbathon 3.0: Hundreds ascend 1,001 steps of Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: As part of World Health Day-2025, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, took a commendable step towards promoting community health and wellness by organising a Apollo Climbathon 3.0 at Chamundi Hill in city yesterday morning.

The event was designed to inspire Mysureans to embrace physical fitness and raise awareness about the importance of an active lifestyle for long-term well-being. This is the third time Apollo BGS Hospitals has organised the Climbathon, reaffirming its commitment to preventive healthcare and community engagement. The Climbathon witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 600 participants from across the city.

People of all age groups — from energetic teenagers to spirited senior citizens — came together to ascend the 1,001 steps of Chamundi Hill. Participants, ranging from ages 15 to 60, showcased incredible determination and camaraderie, making the event a true celebration of health, perseverance and community spirit.

The event was flagged off by N.G. Bharateesha Reddy, Vice-President and Unit Head of Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru and Jammada Preeth Appaiah, a Mysurean, who recently reached the summit of Mount Elbrus, the tallest mountain in Russia and Europe.
