University of Agriculture, Extension Education unit, Organic Farming Research Station, Naganahalli, Mysuru, has invited applications for distribution of ‘Best Farmer Award’ for progressive farmers and women farmers at State, District and Taluk-levels. State awards: State-level Former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda Best Award, Can Bank Award (Canara Bank), Dr. M.H. Marigowda Horticulture Award, Dr. Dwarakinath Award, R. Dwarakinath Vistarana Karyakartha Award; District-level award: Best Farmer/Women Farmer Award; Taluk-level award: Young Farmer and Women Farmer Award. Interested farmers may obtain the applications from the Research Station Office at Naganahalli or from the Office of Agricultural Department Joint Director. The filled-in applications of State and District-level awards must be submitted at the Office of Agricultural Department Joint Director while the Taluk-level award applications must be submitted at the Office of Taluk Agriculture Department Assistant Director or at the Naganahalli Research Station. The last day to apply is July 30, according to a press release.
