Mysuru: The Department of Tourism has invited applications from SC/ST candidates for distribution of subsidy amount for purchase of tourist taxis. Government will provide Rs. 3 lakh subsidy amount for purchase of a taxi to each candidate. It will provide subsidy for 17 Scheduled Caste and 8 Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries this year. Persons in the age group of 20 to 40 years may apply.
Those who have passed SSLC, owns LMV Driving License and badges issued for driving commercial vehicles by Road Transport Department besides 1-year experience in driving after obtaining the license may apply.
Both the applicant and their family members should not be in Government service. Only one person from a family can apply. The application forms can be obtained from the Department’s Office located in Hotel Mayura Hoysala Complex on JLB Road and the filled-in application forms should be submitted along with necessary documents before Dec.18 by 4 pm.
