Applications invited from budding Kannada writers

Kannada Book Authority (Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara) has invited applications from young writers to provide incentives for their first ever Kannada book publication.  The writers must be in the age group of 18-40 years. The books written by the candidates can be any story, drama, critics, essays, novel, reviews and other literature related topics apart from translation of books from any other language, textbooks or Ph.D/PG/ Degree Research thesis.

The manuscripts of the books for selection process must be submitted at Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara, First Floor, Kannada Bhavana on JC Road, Bengaluru-560002 before Feb. 15. The books written should not include provoking topics against any religion, caste, deities, community, language, celebrations and systems. Any write-ups defaming national leaders directly or indirectly are not entertained. Topics involving national secrets and statements concerning international relationship will not be accepted.

Candidates must have a copy of their own manuscript before submitting as the copy of manuscripts once submitted will not be returned. The DTP of the manuscripts must consist at least 60 pages with a dummy length of 1/8.
