Mysuru: The Mysuru District Uppara Employees and Professionals Association has invited applications from meritorious Uppara community students who have scored high marks in SSLC and PUC for presentation of Pratibha Puraskar.
Students from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts, who have scored more than 85 percent marks in SSLC and PUC (2020-21), will be presented Pratibha Puraskar and conferred with ‘Bhageeratha Vidyashri’ Award.
Also, Meenakshi Basavanna, President of Hitnebagilu Gram Panchayat in Periyapatna taluk, which recently bagged the Union Government’s ‘Gandhi Gram Puraskar’ will be conferred with ‘Sri Bhageeratha Janaseva Ratna’ Award while K.R. Police Inspector M. Mahadevaswamy, who bagged the Chief Minister’s Gold Medal (2020-21) for meritorious service and who played a key role in the cracking of recent gang-rape case in Mysuru, will be conferred ‘Sri Bhageeratha Nagarika Seva Ratna’ Award.
The State-level Best Science teacher awardee H. Gopalaswamy of Madhuvanahalli will be conferred ‘Sri Bhageeratha Shikshana Ratna’ Award on the occasion.
Besides, students of the community who bagged ranks in Degree and Post-Graduate degree courses and those who secured Ph.D Doctoral degree, promoted Government employees, retired employees and distinguished leaders and personalities of the community who have served in different fields will be felicitated at a programme to take place at Kalamandira on Hunsur road in city on Nov.28.
Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Kapil Moreshwar Patil will be the chief guest and inaugurate the function.
Meritorious SSLC and PUC students of Uppara community are required to apply along with copies of their marks card, caste certificate and passport size photograph to the Association’s General Secretary Linganna, No. 2793, 2nd Main Road, 2nd Cross, Jayanagar, Mysuru, before Nov.18.
