Mysuru: The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AHVS) has invited applications from eligible candidates to avail benefits under Chief Minister’s Amrutha Jeevana Yojana for the year 2022-23.
Under the Scheme a total of 171 dairy units can be set up out of which 134 units can be set up by General category, 14 by SC and 23 by ST community people. Rs. 62,000 is the cost to establish one unit with cross breed cows (Holstein Friesian and Jersey breeds). Financial assistance of Rs. 20,665 will be provided for SC and ST community while Rs. 15,500 for general category. The remaining amount will be given in the form of grants or loans from the bank. The program will be implemented constituency wise.
Priority will be given for 33 percent women applicants, 15 percent to minority community and 3 percent for specially-abled beneficiaries based on the profession they are involved like labour, agriculture and animal husbandry. Beneficiaries will be selected at a meeting chaired by MLAs of respective Constituencies. Applications along with necessary documents must be submitted at their respective taluk Office of Assistant Director of AHVS Department before Jan. 15.
