Mysuru: In order to provide quality medical treatment to the patients coming to K.R. Hospital, President of National Human Rights and Right to Information Committee S.M. Prasad, has urged the Government to appoint a permanent Medical Superintendent based on seniority to the hospital.
Addressing a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, he said that K.R. Hospital is without a permanent Medical Superintendent since two years which has resulted in no developmental works being undertaken at the hospital.
He alleged that despite urging the Medical Secretary and the Department of Medical Education to appoint a permanent Medical Superintendent to K.R. Hospital, no action has been taken so far. Though the date and time for the interview was fixed twice, it was cancelled in the last minute, he alleged.
Committee office-bearers C. Umesh, B.L. Deepak, I.S. Geetha Ganesh, V. Shanthi and others were present.
