Mysuru: Youth Congress leader Aishwarya Mahadev has been appointed as AICC Spokesperson by Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
Daughter of former K.R. Nagar MLA late Manchanahlli Mahadev, Aishwarya was a strong contender for the Congress ticket from K.R. Nagar Assembly segment in the district in the May 2018 Assembly polls. But she was denied the ticket then when the then Chief Minister Siddharamaiah had promised a bigger role for her in the party.
Now, after being appointed as AICC spokesperson, Aishwarya becomes the second woman Congress leader from the district to get a top post.
A few months ago, former Mysuru ZP President Dr. Pushpa Amarnath was appointed as the President of KPCC Women’s Wing.
