Mysore/Mysuru: Writer and President of K.R. Nagar-based Gramaantara Buddhijeevigala Balaga Bherya Ramkumar has been appointed as an Ex-Officio Member of District Kannada Jagruti Samiti. 

The Samiti has been formed by the Government to oversee the effective implementation of the programmes of Kannada Development Authority.

Ramkumar, who started Gramaantara Buddhijeevigala Balaga at K.R.Nagar in 1985, has organised many State-level Kannada literary programmes, including the popular Mane Mane Kavighosti (Poets Meet). 

He had earlier served as Honorary Advisor of Federation of Unemployed Kannadigas, as Vice-President of Mysuru-Arasikere Railway Travellers Association and Hon. President of Mysuru District Non-Resident Writers Association.
