University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar has been appointed as a Member of the Administrative Board of New Delhi-based Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC).

The CEC is an Inter-University Accelerator Centre and is one of the largest repositories of digitalised educational content in the country. The CEC, set up by the UGC (University Grants Commission) in 1993, is one of the Inter-University Centres which has been established with the goal of addressing the needs of higher education through the use of powerful medium of Television along with appropriate use of emerging Information Communication Technology (ICT).
