Mysore/Mysuru: Retired Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Dr. Helavarahundi Siddappa has been appointed as the President of Mysuru District Unit of Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahitya Parishat.

A resident of Siddarthanagar in city and a native of Helavarahundi in T. Narasipur taluk, Dr. Siddappa had his education at T. Narasipur, Maharaja’s College and Manasagangothri in Mysuru city. Beginning his career as a lecturer, Dr. Siddappa later passed competitive exams and was appointed as Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies. 

He later served as the Tahsildar at Hassan, Koppal and Chamarajanagar and thereafter as Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. He retired as Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in 2017.

Considering the knowledge that he has on various subjects and Sharana Sahitya, Dr. Siddappa’s name for Mysuru District President of the Parishat was recommended by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, who is also the Hon. President of Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahitya Parishat.
