Mysuru:  Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports intends to appoint 20,000 youth countrywide to function as National Youth Volunteers for a period of two years with a special training and a suitable honorarium.

In that context, District Nehru Yuva Kendra has invited applications for appointment of 14 youth volunteer in seven taluks and two for the Kendra office to work on the computer.

The candidates should be in the age bracket of 18 to 29 years as of Apr.1. They should have a minimum qualification of SSLC or above. Students are not eligible to apply. Those who have served as National volunteers in any scheme are also not eligible.

Preference will be given to women,  SC/ST and OBC and to those who have served in NSS and NCC. Preference will be given to computer literates. A monthly honorarium of Rs.5,000 is paid to the selected youth.
