Apprenticeship training in journalism for graduates

Department of Information and Public Relations has invited applications from graduates or post-graduates in journalism for one-year apprenticeship training at its District Office, under Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP), for the year 2024-25. One each of SC and ST student will be selected for the training.

The applicants should have obtained degree or post-graduate degree in journalism from a University, should possess computer knowledge and have a mastery over Kannada language.

The candidates will be selected through interview on the basis of merit. The applicants should be aged below 35 years, coinciding with the last date to submit the application. The monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 will be given during the period of training and there is no provision to select the same candidate under the scheme for another year. If candidates meeting the criteria are not available in any of the district, the candidates from neighbouring district will be considered for training.

Last date to apply is Nov. 30. The application can be obtained from the Office of Deputy Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Dhanvantri road in the city and the duly filled in application should be submitted along with relevant documents.
