Mysuru: The first annual celebrations of Heggadadevanakote Taluk Arasu Sangha will be held on Sept.23 at 10 am at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan in H.D. Kote.
Chamarajanagar MP R. Dhruvanarayan will inaugurate the programme. Minister C. Puttarangashetty will unveil the portrait of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs. MLA Anil Chikkamadu will felicitate the outstanding members and retired officials of the community.
Former ZP President Nayeema Sulthana, retired IAS officer B.T. Shankararaje Urs, senior Congress leader Vijayalakshmi Urs, Congress leader S.V. Venkatesh and District BJP General Secretary K.N. Parikshithraje Urs will be the chief guests. Arasu Community Taluk Unit President Lingaraje Urs (HMT Gopal) will preside, stated a release.
