Army’s valour has been hijacked by Modi: Former Union Minister

Mysuru: Accusing Prime Minister of hijacking the valour of Indian Army for his poll propaganda, former Union Minister K. Rahman Khan has alleged that Modi has been raising the issue of National security only to lure young voters.

Addressing a press meet at Congress Bhavan near the City Railway Station here this morning, Rahman Khan said that none of the political parties should take credit for the Army’s Surgical Strike on terror camps.

Accusing the BJP of treating the EC and the Courts with disdain, the former Union Minister claimed that atrocities against the Minorities had increased enormously after Modi became the Prime Minister.

Claiming that the Constitution will be altered if Modi is re-elected, Khan maintained that Modi was raising non-issues as he was losing the confidence of the people.

Replying to a question on the problems in the JD(S)-Congress coalition, he said that the issue would be sorted out soon and the coalition candidates would win most of the seats.

KPCC Secretary Mansoor khan, City Congress President R. Murthy, leaders Sundar Kumar, Abdul Khader Shahid, M.K. Ashok and others were present during the press meet.
