Bengaluru: Alleging that arrogance, apathy, maladministration and scams were the highlights of Siddharamaiah Government’s four years in power, Union Minister Ananth Kumar (in pic) has sarcastically said that taking Karnataka to the number one spot in corruption was the main achievement of the Congress Government.
Addressing Bengaluru City BJP Executive meet at the party office in Malleswaram here yesterday, Ananth Kumar said that Siddharamaiah Government’s maladministration was focussed on Bengaluru BBMP.
Pointing out that a recent survey carried out by an NGO had rated Karnataka as the most corrupt State, the Union Minister claimed that FDI in the State was hit by lack of infrastructure.
Blaming the State Government for Bengaluru slipping to 210th position in Swachh Bharat rankings, he said that the rise in crimes had made Bengalureans lose their sleep. Accusing the Siddharamaiah Government of handing over Thippagondanahalli lake area to land mafia, he called upon the people representatives to undertake a campaign for saving Thippagondanahalli and Arkavathi water bodies.
Alleging that the State Government was not co-operating with the Centre on Sub-urban Railway Network in Bengaluru, Ananth Kumar termed the indiscriminate felling down of trees in Bengaluru as on eco-disaster.
Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, who also addressed the meet, called upon the party workers not to relax as it was the election year. Lashing out at Siddharamaiah’s Govt. for non-performance, he exhorted the workers to work towards achieving ‘Mission-28’ for Bengaluru and ‘Mission-150’ for Karnataka.
