‘Art and Culture help to build healthy society’

Senior Bharatanatyam artiste K. Taraka Ramudu being felicitated during the ‘Nrutya Sambhrama - 2018’  event at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar on Sunday.

Mysuru:  Sri Nataraja Performing Arts Centre had organised ‘Nrutya Sambhrama – 2018’ at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar here on Sunday. About 40 students of the centre presents Bharatanatyam in various variants.

Inaugurating the programme, Samskara Bharati National Organising Secretary P.R. Krishnamurthy asked parents and teachers to understand the concepts of the art and culture of the country which help to build a healthy society. He pointed out that life itself is an art and added that the zeal of learning should be eternal.

He opined that the values of life were diminishing in the country as people have forgotten the desi art and culture.

Nrityagiri Performing Arts Centre Director Dr. Kripa Phadke was the chief guest.

Nataraja Performing Arts Centre President M.K. Balaraj, Secretary R. Phanindra Kumar, Managing Trustee Nagasri Phanindra Kumar and others were present.
