Mysuru: The monthly dance festival, Articulate Festival-46, organised by Mysore B. Nagaraj, Artistic Director and Festival Coordinator, will be held tomorrow (Dec.15) at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.
The following artistes will be performing on the occasion:
Meghana Venkat, an accomplished dancer, was initiated to Bharatanatyam at an early age and remained under the tutelage of several Gurus from Kalakshetra. Under Guru, Nattuvanar Padma Sri Adyar K. Lakshman, Chennai, she furthered her training to become a classical artiste with firm footing. She is the Founder-Director of “Nritya Nadam” in Bengaluru. Meghana, a graded artiste of Doordarshan, has been bestowed with many honours and awards
S. Kanchanashree, a proficient Bhratanatyam artiste, trained under Guru Vidu. Kripa Phadke, completed her B.A. in Bhartanatyam and presently pursuing M.A. 2nd Year in K.S.G.H. Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru. Kanchanashree completed senior grade exams by K.S.E.E.B. She has also completed her Alankara Shasthra Vidwath in Maharaja Samskritha Pata Shala, Mysuru. A graded artiste of Dooradarshan, Kanchanashree is a recipient of scholarship offered by Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy.
Divya Bhat was initiated to Bharatanatyam at Lalithakala Academy Foundation, Mysuru, and thereafter as a disciple of Guru Vidyashree Radhakrishna at Mangaluru has staged various shows at prestigious platforms in India and Kuwait. A graded artiste of Prasar Bharati, she secured first rank in Bharatanatyam Senior and Vidwat exams in Dakshina Kannada District. She has been conferred with the title of “Nalanda Nritya Nipuna” by the prestigious Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Mumbai.
