Bengaluru: Days after RDPR Minister and senior BJP leader K.S. Eshwarappa reportedly wrote to the Governor and the BJP High Command accusing Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa of certain administrative lapses and interference concerning his Ministry, Arun Singh, in-charge of BJP affairs in Karnataka, is scheduled to arrive in Bengaluru on Apr. 8 to broker peace between the CM and Eshwarappa.
While Eshwarappa has stuck to his guns, Yediyurappa, who has remained silent on the issue till date, is reportedly very upset with his once close associate. Eshwarappa and Yediyurappa had built the party hand-in-hand in their home district of Shivamogga right from the grassroots level decades ago. But once in power, they have disassociated often, due to inner bickerings and other political considerations.
After Eshwarappa’s purported letter, the Chief Minister’s camp has been firing salvos at the RDPR Minister, claiming that it was Eshwarappa who was creating hurdles for party MLAs, prompting them to complain to the CM, who only acted on such complaints.
According to BJP sources, the party High Command has tasked BJP In-Charge of Karnataka Arun Singh to broker peace in the party and the Cabinet, even as relations between the two former close associates has soured to such an extent that they do not talk to each other, except when it is inevitable.
