ASHA workers submit memorandum

Mysore/Mysuru: Over 100 ASHA workers staged symbolic protest yesterday opposite Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office, urging State Government to fulfill their demands.

Speaking to press persons, All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC) District Secretary Chandrashekar Meti said,  “We were planning to lay siege to CM’s residence in Bengaluru as well as DCs Offices in all the 30 districts of the State, but following assurance given by Health Minister B. Sriramulu that he will be holding a meeting with leaders of agitating ASHA workers in Bengaluru, we have dropped the idea.”

“Based on the outcome of our meeting with Health Minister B. Sriramulu, we are going to decide on our future plans, but our demands remain the same and we have submitted a memorandum to Mysuru DC regarding our demands,” he added
