Assault on BSP leader: Action sought against cops

Mysuru: Members of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will stage a protest in front of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s house if action is not taken against Metagalli Inspector Sunil Kumar and Constable Shivakumar.

They alleged that Sunil Kumar and Shivakumar had assaulted and abused  BSP activist Ananthanagu.

Addressing a press conference at Pathrakarthara Bhavan yesterday, BSP General Secretary K.N. Prabhuswamy alleged that Ananthanagu was being targeted by the Police for no fault of his and the Police had behaved in a high-handed manner.

Demanding action against the accused Policemen, he has threatened to stage a protest in front of CM’s house in the coming days. Prabhuswamy added that a complaint against the Policemen has been sent to City Police Commissioner who has failed to take any action.
