Assault on Tourist Guide: Colour of car does not match with Registration No. provided by victim

Mysuru: The case of a tourist guide being assaulted on the pretext of giving him a drop, has become a headache to Lashkar Police, who are investigating the case, as the colour of the car told by victim David Alexander  does not match with the colour of the car with the registration number provided by David to the Police.

David had told the Police that he was taken in a black car that went behind a KSRTC bus and had given the car’s registration number to the Cops.

But the registration number of the car given by David belongs to an industrialist at Bengaluru and the car’s colour is white, according to Police, who are investigating the case.

The Police also said that they also checked CCTV footages and came to know that no black coloured car followed any KSRTC bus at that time besides stating that those who commit such crime do not use the vehicle with the original registration number and hence the information provided by the victim may have been wrong.

Lashkar Inspector said that they were continuing with the investigation and added that a Police team has camped in Bengaluru for the investigation. He further said that whenever they call David to co-operate with them for investigation, he (David) tells that he is in Ooty and does not come.
