Attach new pantry car coach to Bengaluru-Mysuru Tipu Express

Sir,

Train number 12613/12614 Mysuru-Bengaluru-Mysuru Tipu Express forms as an important connecting train between the two cities. As the train operates in both directions in the
afternoon, there is now an urgent need to provide a new pantry car coach to avail the food/catering services.

The two hour-thirty-minute-long non-stop journey causes an inconvenience to avail food on-board due to insufficient movement of authorised food vendors and primarily due to lack of availability of a dedicated pantry car to this train. The lack of timely availability of food/catering facilities on-board has only caused further inconvenience as this train runs as a non-stop superfast train in both up and down directions.

It is thus highly imperative now that the facility of dedicated pantry car coach is provided to Tipu Express. The move will also benefit Hubballi bound passengers from Bengaluru, as the train continues as an RSA rake as 12726 Bengaluru-Dharwad Inter-City Express. Thus the very need to attach pantry car on urgent basis, especially owing to day-time travel during the summer season by Tipu Express and Inter-City Express in both up and down directions, will rightly justify the move aimed at better passenger comfort.

Hence, I request the South Western Railway authorities at Mysuru to urgently examine the feasibility of attaching a new pantry car coach to 12613/12614 Bengaluru-Mysuru Tipu

Express. Further as the train has an RSA with 12725/12726 Bengaluru-Dharwad Inter-City Express on a daily basis, the move will further help ensure to make an optimum utilisation of pantry car coach by serving the passengers upto Dharwad.
