Attention diversion: Mysurean loses Rs. 1.50 lakh to miscreants in T. Narasipur

T. Narasipur: Miscreants, after diverting the attention of a two-wheeler rider have made away with a cash bag containing Rs. 1.50 lakh near the new Kapila Bridge in T. Narasipur.

The person who lost the money is 60-year-old Abdul Khadar, a resident of Nazarbad in Mysuru.

Abdul, who was undertaking aluminium window works at a School in the town, had received a cheque for Rs. 1.50 lakh from the School. After withdrawing cash from the Bank, Abdul kept the cash in a bag and was proceeding on his scooter (KA-55-R-9382) when rain began to pour.

Abdul then stopped the scooter to take out the jerkin, when two miscreants approached him and told him that he had dropped money and showed Abdul a Rs. 50 currency note lying on the ground. When Abdul moved a bit to take the currency note, the miscreants lifted the cash bag and fled from the spot.

A case has been registered at T. Narasipur Police Station.
