Sir,
The recent extension of Train No. 17326/17325 Ashokapuram- Hubballi-Ashokapuram Vishwamanava Express up to Belagavi via Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Haveri, Hubballi and Dharwad is a welcome move. This extension has brought relief to many passengers between Mysuru – Belagavi and vice-versa through a direct train connectivity.
The operational run of Vishwamanava Express between Ashokapuram – Belagavi now stands at 18 hours in a single journey. As the run time extends beyond 12 hours from both the origin stations, there is now an urgent need to provide high-level comfort to passengers during day time. In addition to AC Chair Car, it is further suggested to augment an extra AC 3 Tier Coach for the benefit of passengers.
The move to augment an AC 3 Tier Coach will benefit many passengers intending to travel comfortably from Mysuru-Belagavi and vice-versa.
Further as the train travels entirely during the day time and as it arrives at its destination very late at night, there is a further need to augment one Pantry Car coach to provide catering facility for onboard passengers. The catering facility through the augmentation of a new Pantry Car coach will be helpful for long distance travellers on the entire leg of the 18-hour journey.
Hence, South Western Railway (SWR) authorities of Mysuru Division are requested to augment one AC 3 Tier Coach and a Pantry Car Coach to this train.
