Auto drivers told to be courteous to passengers

Mysuru: Even as complaints are recorded against the arrogant behaviour of auto drivers almost every other day, the City Traffic Police have asked auto and van drivers to be courteous to passengers.

Addressing auto drivers at an awareness programme at V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station here yesterday, DCP (Crime and Traffic) B.T. Kavitha told the auto drivers to keep all necessary documents ready and follow traffic rules and regulations strictly.

Advising the auto drivers to be always courteous to passengers, the DCP pointed out that the drivers cannot succeed in their profession if they failed to earn the confidence of passengers.

Stressing on the need for a decent behaviour in these days of cut throat competition where every passenger is important, Kavitha said that the Police too can deal with automen in a friendly manner only if the drivers behave themselves.

Traffic ACP G.N. Mohan, Traffic Police Inspectors Suraj, Prakash, Jagadish, Yogesh and Arunakumari and other Police personnel were present.
