Automated turnstile gates installed at MRC

Mysuru:  The Mysore Race Club (MRC) Limited has installed automated Turnstile Gates at four entry points of the Club to regulate the visitors.

City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeswara Rao will inaugurate the turnstile gates tomorrow (Dec.17)  at 12.15 pm.

Speaking to Star of Mysore over phone, Club Secretary K.G. Ananthraj Urs said that the new gates are installed at main entrance gate, paddock, car parking and ticket counter side to check the entry of unauthorised visitors.

Earlier, lot of people were entering the Club without taking any tickets. The installation of the automated turnstile gates not only prevents the entry of unauthorised visitors but also helps the management of the MRC to get clear picture of the number of visitors to the Club.

The installation will definitely boost revenue and gate collection of the Club, he said.

Bar code tickets will be issued to visitors which will be scanned  before the visitors gain entry into the Club, he said and added that at present the MRC is registering 2,700 to 3,500 visitors during all racing days.

The MRC has also installed the CCTV cameras to keep tab on the activities of the visitors, as a security measure.
