Awareness programme on groundwater on Jan.10, 14

Mysuru: A one-day public awareness programme on Groundwater has been organised at Government High School in Doddakavalande village of Nanjangud taluk here.

The event is jointly organised by the Director, Groundwater Directorate, Bengaluru and Senior Geologist, District Groundwater Office, Mysuru. Zilla Panchayat (ZP) CEO K. Jyothi will inaugurate the programme and release a handbook on the occasion. ZP Member Leelavathi Siddaveerappa and Doddakavalande Taluk Panchayat (TP) Member Mahendra will distribute prizes. Doddakavalande GP President Shivamma Siddaraju and Vice-President Javed Ahmmed will distribute certificates.

Prog. at Hitnehebbagilu postponed

A similar awareness programme, which was scheduled to be held at Government High School of Hitnehebbagilu village in Periyapanta taluk today (Jan.8), has been postponed to Jan.14 for unavoidable reasons, according to a press release.

ZP CEO K. Jyothi will inaugurate the prog. and release a handbook on the occasion.

Ravandur ZP Member Mani D.T. Swamy will distribute prizes. Hitnehebbagilu GP President Rajashekhar, Vice-President Manjula Vijaykumar, School Development and Monitoring Committee President H.C. Umesh will distribute certificates.

DDPI S. Mamatha, Periyapatna BEO Chikkaswamy, Block Co-ordinator Hemanthraju, Akshara Dasoha Assistant Director Vijay and Hitnehebbagilu Government High School Head Master K.R. Rajesh will be the chief guests.
