Awareness programme on Renewable Energy

Mysuru: The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL), in association with ISHRAE and Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA), held a demonstration programme at St. Mary’s School in Vidyaranyapuram to create awareness on renewable energy among children.

The students were given a demonstration of Solar Energy systems and devices like Solar Water Heating & Solar Lighting systems, Solar Street Lights, Parabolic Cooker, Box type cooker, Solar water pumps, Solar lantern, Solar powered TV, Solar Education Kit.

More than 300 students got first-hand information about solar water heaters, solar cooking stoves, street lights and solar LED lamps.

D.K. Dinesh Kumar, Project Engineer, KREDL, explained about the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation.

ISHRAE President P.V. Bharadwaj, President-Elect B.S. Ramesh, CMCA Senior Programmer Sunith, Programme Lead Savitha, Education Department Mysore South Block Resource Persons Kusuma, Lalitha and teachers were present.
