Awareness rallies on ‘Hearing Impairment’ in city

Mysuru: As part of the World Hearing Day, students of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) took out an awareness rally in city yesterday. The theme of the rally was ‘look at the future and be prepared for it!

City BJP President Dr. B.H. Manjunath flagged off the rally from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate.

The rally passed through Silver Jubilee Clock Tower, Gandhi Square, Dufferin Clock Tower, D. Devaraj Urs Road, JLB Road and Kukkarahalli Road before culminating at AIISH, Manasagangothri.

AIISH faculty Dr. M. Sandeep and Dr. Sriraj, PRO A.R. Keerthi were among those who took part in the rally.

In another event marking the observation of the day, students of JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing took out a rally from JSS Hospital premises on M.G. Road.

The rally passed through Chamaraja Double Road, Ramaswamy Circle and other prominent thoroughfares, before culminating at the starting point.

Institute Director Dr. N.P. Nataraj, Principal Suma Raj and others took part.
