Awareness talk

Rotary Ivory City Mysuru and Karnataka Public School (KPS), Kuvempunagar, have jointly organised a public awareness talk on the impact of mobile phones on students’ mental health at the KPS premises in Kuvempunagar tomorrow (July 22) at 3.30 pm. Rtn. Dr. Asha Shekar, Professor from the Department of Physiology at JSS Medical College, Mysuru, will speak on the topic ‘Phone Off, Brain On: Getting Better Sleep for Better School Marks.’

The session aims to educate students, parents and educators on how excessive screen time disrupts sleep patterns and hurts academic performance. The talk will provide actionable insights into building healthier digital habits for improved mental well-being and better grades, according to Rtn.
