B.R. Patil resigns as Advisor to CM

Bengaluru: Senior Congress MLA from Aland Assembly segment in Kalaburagi district, B.R. Patil, resigned as Advisor to CM Siddaramaiah this afternoon.

Patil, who was miffed after missing out a Cabinet berth in the Siddaramaiah Government, was appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister in Dec. 2023, along with Yelburga MLA Basavaraj Rayareddy as Economic Advisor to CM and veteran party MLA R.V. Deshpande as Chairperson of Administrative Reforms Commission, with Cabinet ranking.

B.R. Patil is said to have tendered his resignation letter to CM, who is currently in Mysuru.
