B.S. Pandit Memorial Concert: Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, Vid. T.M. Krishna perform

Mysuru: Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha, Mysuru, had organised B.S. Pandit Memorial Concert ‘Saraswati’ in fond memory of the great educationist and visionary, late Prof. B.S. Pandit, Founder-Secretary of GSSS. The event was conducted for two days at Sri M. Govinda Rao Memorial Auditorium in GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW) premises on KRS Road here.

On Nov. 27, Classical dance was performed by the renowned dancer ‘Natyarani Shanthala’ awardee Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy. Her performance was based on the theme ‘Janani.’ She enthralled the audience with her solo performance. She was accompanied by Nanda Kumar Unnikrishnan (vocal), Sandesh Bhargav (natuvanga), H.L. Shivashankaraswamy (mridanga), Krishna Prasad (flute) and Pradeshacharya (violin).

On Nov. 28, Karnatak Music Concert was presented by Ramon Magsaysay awardee Vid. T.M. Krishna. He created an attentive atmosphere in the listeners. His soft voice makes people listen to him with utmost attention. Akkarai Subhalakshmi (violin), N.C. Bharadwaj (mridanga) and Giridhar Udupa (ghata) had accompanied him.
