Mysuru: Badaganadu Balaga, Mysuru, celebrated its annual day at its Bhavana in Ramakrishnanagar here recently.
H.V. Rajeev, Secretary of Pramati Hill Academy, who was the chief guest, lauded the Balaga for its activities in recognising the children scoring high marks and encouraging them with some financial assistance.
He suggested that this financial assistance which is now extended to all the Trimathasthas be given to the general public in future.
Y. Savithri, Professor at R.V. Teachers College, Bengaluru, highlighted the significance of women in general and as a teacher in particular in their social obligation.
Octogenarians Indira-mma Srikantaiah, Shankara-narayana Rao and Rama-chandra were felicitated by the Balaga. Pratibha Puraskar was presented to students by the guests. Balaga President Dr. Narayana Rao presided. Secretary Annapurna read the annual report. Vimala Ramamurthy, Balaga’s Women’s Wing Secretary, was present. Srinivasa rendered invocation. Dr. B.N. Shashidhara introduced the chief guest. Chandrachuda Rao welcomed. Vice-President B.N. Prabhakar proposed a vote of thanks.
