Bag prizes at Nadakishorotsava

Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru, conducted its Annual State-level competition for the youth in Indian Classical Music from Sept.7 to 9 at Sabha’s G.R. Dasappa Mini Hall. In all 9 artistes were shortlisted amongst applicants for the finals, which was judged by Vidushi Dr.Sukanya Prabhakar,  Vidushi Dr.Padmavathi Narasimhan and Vidushi M.L.Bharathi. Following participants have won the prizes:

Shreya Kolathaya, Puttur – Karnatak vocal – First prize and “Nadakishori” title; N.H. Shrihari Bhat, Bengaluru –  Karnatak vocal – Second prize and Ballary M.Venkateshachar Memorial Best Male Vocalist; C.V. Shruthi, Mysuru –  Violin Solo – Third prize; Shyam Krishna Sateesh, Bengaluru – Consolation prize; Krithik Kaushik, Bengaluru – Best Violinist; Pavan Madhav Masoor, Mysuru  – Best Mridangist.

The prizes will be distributed during the Anniversary of the Sabha  on Jan. 5, 2019.
