Bags best cadet award

Mysuru: Aryav Dayanand Sadhu, a tenth standard student of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Mysuru, belonging to 13 Karnataka Battalion NCC, received the prestigious best cadet award from Col. Manjeet Singh, Commanding Officer, Mysuru NCC Group at Mysuru Group Headquarters recently.

Among more than 500 cadets who come under Mysuru NCC group, Aryav  for his overall performances was awarded best cadet award. The award carried a certificate of merit and a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.

K. Shivakumar, NCC Officer, Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, said “The award is given to overall performance for the year 2017-18. Among nearly 500 to 600 participants who come under Mysuru group, NCC authorities that are military people will identify and select best cadet based on their performances in drill, oral conduct like interview and firing. Aryav  who came out with good performance in all the three was awarded. He is punctual, committed and studious. He is not only good in academics and NCC but also as has good oratory skills”.

He is the son of Anup Dayanand Sadhu and Rebecca Dayanand. Anup Dayanand, who is civil service officer, is working as Group General Manager in Container Corporation of India, Bengaluru.
